The best all-around sports glass. If you have to take one lens with you on the field for just about any sport, this is it. Lovely compressed backgrounds and bokeh. Destroys Nikon’s 200-400 I and II (extensive experience with both). Working in newspapers, we never reached for the newest 400 f/2.8 — despite being a fabulous lens — we were all grabbing for this lens because of its versatility. Some people heaitate because it’s and f/4 but this lens is butterry smooth and makes you forget a fixed focal length quickly.

Great lens. This is a MOAL Mother of all Lenses. Sharp, fast focusing, and a great focal length range for sports. Basically 200-560 with the 1.4x, which being built in is so easy to flip in and out. The used one I got was in flawless condition. I've had my eye on the lens for a long time, but found one in an affordable price range that was in excellent condition
