Canon EF 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 II

Buy one if you can find one. I do not think you will be sorry. Check out the resent photos I took with it. I was looking for a short zoom lens for my Canon 5D Mark II that I just recently acquired. I didn't want to spend the money on an L lens. This lens got great reviews and they were all true. Some say it is hard to tell the difference in the photo quality between this one and an L lens. I guess that is why they are hard to find. It is tack sharp and focuses fast. Great saturation of colors and contrast. I lucked out and caught one that was just listed on a buy it now.

Parts debris - debris actually broken mechanism. The product was described as not working with debris that could impact picture quality. The debris were actually a large part of the mechanism that had broken off. Not what I was hoping for but I was aware that I was taking a risk with this purchase.

Caon EF 28-70mm f3.5/4.5 II I read some reviews and I bought a excellent one for $75.00. The lens is very sharp and takes excellent images that have excellent color rendition. It's not a USM lens so the focus is a bit noisy but it makes up for that in image sharpness. For an early Canon EF lens it's sharp and works great on cropped senor EOS camera bodies. On a Crop senor EOS Camera it's a 45-122mm camera. It makes a great light weight walk around street photography lens. Great bargain for the price.
