Canon EOS R6

Buy It for the New Technology and the Ability to Use RF Lenses I already own the EOS R, but needed a second body to take on an upcoming vacation. Although I have been very happy with the R - and even happier with the terrific RF lenses - I wanted to invest in the newer technology built into the EOS R5 and R6. The R5 is overkill for my purposes, so I decided on the less-expensive R6. But cost aside, I was pleased that it offers eye tracking autofocus capability and the ability to differentiate between human and animal faces by choosing the right menu item. I have not tried to use any of these features yet, but will be putting these and many others to the test soon. Besides the aforementioned, in the limited time I have had the R6 I have found it to be a well-made and user- friendly camera that's very nicely balanced with the RF 50mm f1.8 lens attached. Even with the heavier and longer RF 24-105mm f4 attached, the combination is not onerous because the grip on the body is well-designed. The RF line of lenses is a great reason for buying an R series body, but one can also continue to utilize any EF and EF-S lenses on an R body by adding one of the EF-EOS R adapters.Read full review

Fantastic camera This has been my favorite camera ever, particularly for sports. Blazing fast- especially when using the electronic shutter- with equally fast and adept autofocus, it makes me look like a much better photographer than I am. I invested some time on the front end to learn the camera, its features, and its capabilities, got my C1, C2, and C3 set like I wanted/needed them, then just got out of the way. It is a substantial build, and yes- it has the heft to match- but It just feels right in the hand. Canon's understanding of ergonomics really surpasses all in the industry.

Great Camera A great camera to have in t=your arsenal. It certainly has a lot of features that the DSLR did not and because of that, there is a bit of a learning curve before one gets to really know the camera. I have had it for a month now and I truly enjoy this camera as it seems to be a notch above my old 6D.
