Replaces two kit lenses. Good lens, replaces two kit lenses. It is not, in my mind, durable. I have had two in which the aperture failed and the cost of repair exceeds the cost of a new (or used) lens. I really cannot say whether it is a good value. It is not cheap , but if used a lot, perhaps.
