Decent but don’t expect edge to edge sharpness Even at F4 or f8 it produces soft edges. Center is sharp though at all f:stops. Surprisingly very little vignetting wide open. And zero choked down to f8. Solid build for the price and smooth manual focusing. Easy to use manual focus switching allows you to keep your eye in the viewfinder while switching from AF to manual. I wouldn’t use this for astrophotography though as the stars on the edges will be noticeably soft. But for the price it’s a great lens
Not the best, but good enough for professional photos. I love this lens. I didn't use wide lenses enough in my work to justify getting the best glass, so I settled on the Tokina. Glad I did, because I am using it more than I originally thought. Great value. Not as sharp as I would like, but it is good enough for what I need. Enjoy. - Stephen Paul Photography
