Five Stars In Spite Of Being Expensive Very good construction, Not too heavy, Excellent image, Quite good in low light. My only complaint, I wish it had stabilization built into the lens for use with my Sony PXW-FS5 body which depends on the lens for stabilization. Still highly recommended if your budget allows.
People will ask if you went to film school. lol. Love this stunning glass. Crazy Super! Insane SHARP and BEAUTIFUL! So sharp you have to lessen sharping depending on the look you are after. On my Canon APS-C I get a lovely almost 35mm equivalent. The look is certainly indescribable in 1080p. In 4k on my 5D4 I'm equally blown to bits. The image compared to my other Canon glass is day and night. I don't know what magic sauce they put in the 25mm Ze but it is certainly hypnotic and lovely. Now, for still images, I am floored as well. The "Zeiss Look" is again, indescribable. This lens is a keeper for life. Manual focus but at 25mm not an issue. Wanna stand out, get this lens and practice--you will never look back. Get it new or nearly new. People will inquire after you master this lens. What are you waiting for!
