Leica Vario-Elmar-R 35-70mm f /4

Leica 35-70mm f4 This lens is one of the greatest bargains in Leica glass. For whatever reason, Leica did not make clear that this lens has an aspherical element. Yes, it was made in Japan, but how does it perform? Read Erwin Puts' review. It compares to Leica's primes in those focal lengths...but it can be purchased at a fraction of the price of any one of those lenses. At the very least, this lens deserves very serious consideration.

An excellent manual zoom lens. An excellent, sharp, manual focus zoom lens that is easy to operate the focus and aperture.

Awesome product, as sharp as other Leica lenses This is a very sharp medium zoom lens which is able to produce a high quality picture. With it's small size and usable zoom range, I am very comfortable to use it as my daily use lens (but not for low light condition as the max. apperture is 4.0).
