Nikon 1 Nikkor 10mm f/2.8

It has changed the way I take photos inside my custom models. I was not impressed with the flash shadow of the 10-30 mm zoom lens that came with the camera. It stuck out too far to fit in confined spaces besides leaving the shadow in close up work. This fixed focus lens fits in smaller places, leaves no shadow and is a sharper lens with a larger f stop of 2.8 compared to the 3.5 of the standard lens. It seems to focus better in low light situations and is rapidly becoming my standard lens for my Nikon 1 J3 camera. My only regret is that I did not make the purchase sooner. It also makes the camera a bit lighter to carry. I would purchase this lens again with no questions.

Little gem of a lens, get it if you are a fan of 28mm perspective .. Of all the cameras I have ever owned, NONE made me want to go take pictures as much as the Nikon V1. None. And I am talking about 100+ cameras, everything from film and digital up to d600... OM-d, Ricoh GR, x100s etc ... all great, but the v1, with all its shortcomings, is the one I want to pick up when I head out. I'm talking street photography here, not studio stuff ... I got this lens for the V1. Super fast focusing, _great_ image quality, and affordable ... I love it.

Perfect budget wide angle Nicely made wide angle for Nikon 1. I use it on an S1. Took it to the beach and had a blast. Sand was easy to clean off the front elements. Images came out sharp, it was very helpful to have the extra range of 2.8. I love the feel of 28mm. If you love wide angles and don't want to fiddle with the kit lens, try this.
