Very sharp and a great value The lens doesn't look impressive, with its small front element. It is small and light. But oh my goodness is it ever sharp! I bought it for scanning negatives, along with the Nikon ES-2 digitizer set. It is an easy matter to use focus peaking and focus magnification to focus right down to the film grain. This was worth buying just for scanning negatives and slides, but I may actually use it as a macro lens one day as well.

Olympus 30mm 3.5 ED Micro 4/3 Macro lens I wasn't sure about this lens but after receiving it I was amazed at how sharp it is. I can't say enough about how happy I am for buying this lens. It wasn't for me but my daughter who will be using it for her scientific work in archeology research. From what I understand its perfect for the macro work she is using it for and is a great quality unit for her needs.
