Budget Fish-Eye lens worth every penny This lens gets a 5 Star rating from me because the picture quality is better than you would think it would be for the price of the lens. I own numerous lens and out of a scale of 1 to 10, I would give the picture quality a solid 7. I actually like the manual aperture control and the focus is easy enough to figure out. If you turn this lens vertical it can Actually See Behind You. Can you imagine the amazing sunset pictures you could get with that?

Retro Lens On a full frame camera the lens is only a circular fisheye like the ones from the 1970s. Its even manual focus. Unfortunately unlike the modern full frame fisheye lenses its not very useful today.

"Great Fisheye lens for an affordable price" What I liked about the Opteka lens was the fact I could remove the pedal on the lens. This is not a major issue if you own a DX format camera. However ever on an FX body the image is a bit cropped, and when removing the pedal tulip you get a full circular image. On FX cameras you will still have some black around the outside of the circular image but for me I am a visual artist and the circular fish eye affect was amazing.
