Reviews
I like it Excellent angle of view, taking rectangular pictures (167 degrees on diagonal of the frame). Also it has some kind of cap as a tube that allows to take photos with the effect of circular fisheye (but it reduces a lot the angle of view). In indoor use ... the space has never been wider. Beautiful colours. It has USM, called HSM by Sigma (ultrasonic motor for focusing) that is very silent. It focuses very quickly. And also, after auto-focus it allows you to manual focus, without switching on manual (Note: for this the camera has to be set on "one shot focus", not on "AI servo" or "AI focus"). The minimum focusing distance is about 2,5 cm (1 inch) from the lens. You allmost stick the subject to the lens :) Filters can be mounted also, but in a diffrent way: there is a slot between the lens and the sensor (2.5 cm x 2.3 cm). Or on the cap that looks as a tube can be mounted 67 mm normal filters (thread filters). P.S.: I have used Sigma 10mm on Canon 40D DSLR camera
Review for: Sigma 10mm f/2.8 EX DC Fisheye HSM Lens This is an excellent fisheye, very fast and crisp. works best with nikons, for only nikon gets the full 180 degree diagonal view. very solid lens, working well in both hot and cold, and for the price even the nikkor 10.5mm cannot touch it. would recommend to any prospective nikon fisheye buyer!
Sigma makes a good lens! This is a fun lens well engineered, well crafted, has a back filter slot for gel filters.
