Not the best in low light conditions but the lack of high aperture can be compensated with higher iso Has 9 aperture blades, with this amount of aperture blades you will be satisfied with the result.Physical characteristics
520 mm long, with this size carry only if you use it. With a lens filter diameter of 46 mm you are one step from the next standard filter size, buy step-up ring and bigger filter but you can chose from plenty options. Sigma 100mm f/4 lens I am a NIKON user and there was no NIKON lens with the features I wanted that covered this range. I have a NIKON 400 f/2.8 that is VERY heavy. I have a NIKON 18-200 that is not a very fast lens. Nikon does make a 80-400 but it is a fairly slow lens and cannot reasonably take a tele-extender. The 100-300 F/4 was light enough to hand hold and fast enought that if desired I could put a tele-extender on it. With the telextender the lens is 420mm at f/5.6. The only feature I would like to have had is vibration reduction. The lens is excellent and all reviews confirmed that it would be! Check this lens out for your photographic needs.
