Sony DT 35mm f/1.8 SAM

Wide aperture makes even the night visible, sharp image, great price. This is an incredible lens. I've always dreamed of being able to take photos that actually resemble the same image I'm looking at through my eyes, even when it's night out. Taking a picture of a lit-up restaurant sign in the dark, I had to set the aperture to 2.5 because 1.8 made it too bright. I am so happy I bought this lens. The images it produces are sharp and can be quite vibrant even on my Sony A57. I suppose the focus ring could be a bit bigger, but that is really only a minor complaint when I think of what this baby is capable of. It makes for some awesome video quality as well, which is the main reason why I wanted it. It will definitely be on my camera the most out of the lenses I have.

For the cost, this camera has so many features and is ridiculously easy to use. I wish my Canon lenses could fit on it. Otherwise, great camera - grea The camera has multiple components to choose from for full utility of the camera. It is very light, takes really crisp outside photos, terrific panoramas and easy snap and shoot. I have used the movie feature, but haven't downloaded it to see how it came out. My only criticism is with lens. I would like to see other lenses fit on the camera like my Canon.

This is a great deal since I'm using an old Konica-Minolta 5D and Sony Lenses are fully compatible. There's nothing bad about this lens. Pictures are sharp. Mainly due to the fact the anti-shake technology is in the camera, not in the lens like the competitors are doing which helps keep cost down. Whether you have an old Minolta or an old alpha series Sony camera you can't go wrong.
