An older lense that still works well This is a discontinued lens designed for a 35mm film camera. However, it works well with my D7100. Auto focus is a little slow but then again it was first introduced in 1996. The focus is sharp & works well for stills & landscape. For the money you can't beat this lens.
Tamron 28-200mm Very satisfied with this lens with its wide focal range although the focusing ring is a bit stiff for fine tuning. Images are sharp relative to camera used, more than adequate for A4 prints. Overall, a great lens for run-around use. Recommend.
OK lens for the price The lens is a good starter lens but there are a few issues. It is a stop or two darker than my nikon. It hunts for focus a bit and is a bit slower in focus. Pictures in the 70-150 are fairly sharp but soft above 150. All in all I've taken some good photos with it and I still keep it on a second body but I don't use it much anymore.
