Tamron SP AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II LD Aspherical (IF)

Great lens The quality of the lens it good. It works well on my Nikon D7100. The images are sharp, focus is pretty quick but not quite as fast as some of my other lenses but it has not caused an issue. The reason for good is because of design, I can see this easily breaking the outer ring. It is made of plastic and easily can fall onto the lip that sticks out. Otherwise, I really like it.

Don't believe the misinformation about Tamron lens validation claim Saw in one of the reviews from trmassin1960 stating that Tamron lenses like this needed to be "validated" before buying as grey market parallel imports would be of sub-par quality. This is just plain rumor mongering by an irresponsible eBayer. Tamron USA website cannot allow you to "validate" whether a lens is sub-par in quality just because they do not import them into the USA market. By entering the Tamron lens serial number, you will essentially be registering the lens in your name. And if the lens' serial is found not to belong to Tamron USA's batch of imported lens stock, such a registeration would be denied and you cannot get the 6 years USA warranty. To say that Tamron would stamp their brand on a manufactured lens with improper quality control and sell them to grey market distributors is just plain ignorance and playing on the fear factor of people who buy top lenses. It just do not make good business sense for Tamron, BUT it makes good business sense for Tamron USA to protect its own interest. Makes you wonder if trmassin1960 works for Tamron USA doesn't it?

Awesome wide angle lens for Nikon Cameras with AF-S style setup. A very nice lens, I love it. Takes excellent photos and works well with my NikonD3200. I needed something with a wider angle because of the crop sensor in my camera and this baby did the trick! Couldn't be happier.
