Reviews
Excellent Great range at an affordable price. Portable with sharp focus, excellent complement to the Contax Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 28-85mm F/3.3-4 Zoom Lens. The Vario-Sonnar T* 80-200mm f/4 zoom lens is really convenient; the image quality isn't quite as good as the fixed focal length 135mm, but it is fairly close. The 1:3.33 macro function (at 200mm) is an added bonus. It is a great lens for isolating subject matter in architecture and landscape photography. It's also a convenient portrait lens and the close-up focusing at 200mm allow for 1:3.33 macro as well. The zoom control is an old-fashioned push/pull action with a focus grip, unlike the modern rotating ring-style zooming of many AF lenses. The aperture ring (f/4-f/22) has stops at full apertures and at f/4 you will need as much light as possible albeit at an affordable price.Read full review
An amazing 50mm lens! One of the best 50mm ever made. Fantastically sharp, smooth and well built. I use it for both film on a Contax SLR and with an adapter on a mirrorless camera. An extraordinary lens!
Great Lens The image is sharp and precise. In looking to treat myself to the 85 mm for Christmas
