The ultimate wide angle lens The Elmar-M 24mm is one of Leica's finest lenses. It offers almost flawless performance in a compact design that hardly obstructs the camera's viewfinder. The lens produces high contrast pictures with negligible distortion and superb resolution. Although the lens is a bit slow, it is at its best when used wide open and its close-up performance is the same as its performance at infinity! The 24mm focal length will challenge you to get close to your subjects and work with the foreground.

Fine Tool. Very pleased to have a slightly wider than common lens for landscapes as well as close in pictures in city streets and small spaces. I am preferring it over the 28 MM and 35 MM alternatives. Excellent optics for the price, but nothing Leica is inexpensive.
