Leica Super-Elmar-M 21mm f/3.4 Asph

Leica Quality 21mm Lens This is a great lens if you need this focal length. It's sharp but has maybe a bit too much contrast that is easily correctable in post processing. Colors are rendered nicely. The lens handles good on a Leica M and CL. The focusing tab is helpful and makes focusing easy. Distortion and vignetting are minor, and to be expected on such a wide angle lens. It is also correctable in post. As for value -- it is a Leica M lens. It's expensive but built like a tank to last for decades if treated right.

Fantastic Compact Ultra Wide Angle Lens I was looking for a decent Ultra Wide Angle Lens for my Leica M9/M10 camera. I wanted something fairly compact and something that offered a fairly decent Ultra Wide Angle view without too much distortion. This is fantastic, it meets pretty much all my criteria. Its sharp, from corner to corner, and the colors and rendering are amazing for this lens. Its great for traveling and doing landscape photography. The only real downside to this lens, is its not a fast lens, its F/3.4 aperture is not well suited for low light photography, especially on an older M system where you can't crank the ISO. However, for my needs it still great, and I'd rather have the small size and portability of this lens over the bulk and weight of the 21mm Summilux that Leica offers. The price of the lens is also significantly less than then Summilux. Overall, I would definitely recommend this lens for anyone who wants modest UWA lens, thats compact and offeres excellent optics.Read full review

Leica 21mm SuperElmar This may very well be the best 21 mm lens ithat Leica makes. It is small, not horribly expensive and produces wonderful images.It is also beautifully made, as almost all of the M lenses are If you shoot with a Leica and want a 21 mm lens, this is the one to have.
