A good all around lens This is a good lens. It takes very nice pictures is light weight, and works with digital camera bodies. I have a Nikon D70 so the built in AF motor in the camera works great on this lens. This lens will work, but will not have the AF feature on DSLR's without a built in AF motor. My only complaint is the construction does feel a bit cheap. To much plastic, but the price is good. If your looking for a great all around, everyday lens for a great price, look no further.
Good "All Day" Lens I got this lens with the intentions of not having to carry around extra lenses when on a day trip unless there was a specific need for a particular lens. This on fit the bill on my F100. It gives good quality images and is very responsive to the AF function on the camera. At the 50mm range, it is as good as a prime and delivers crisp edges and great depth of field. It's weight (very light!) gave me some pause for concern but after using it found it to be a great benefit.
Nice photo quality, only noisy when lens on auto focusing, best was light. After using this lens with my Nikon D7000 for a while, everything was fine, no problem at all, photo quality is acceptable and can say good quality enough for amateur to semi-pro. Only noisy when it does auto-focusing, apart from that, I would love to say Good and keep me moving. I didn't feel waste of money to buy this product. I can not say excellent, but for me I love it. And of course you don't want to carry a 20 kg when you try to shoot everything around you, Don't you ??? 164.nz
