Quantaray 100-300mm f/4.5-6.7

Beautiful Inexpensive Tele Use a TRIPOD for "tack sharp" images. Fast enuf for outdoor pics, use 400 to 640 Asa Iso. I buy as many as I can, to sell to new photography students to get them excited about distant images. Hi quality, low cost to own.

Minolta AF 300mm F4 APO HS G I bought the lens as a replacement to a Minolta AF 300mm f/2.8 APO. Whilst it was fairly quick in the AF department and the condition was excellent, it wasn't complete and the AF motor sounded rough. The lens is capable of capturing superb quality images with wonderful classic Minolta colours, but I had been spoiled with the 300mm 2.8, so sold it on. That said, I found my Sigma AF 100-300mm EX DG (IF) APO at least as good as the Minolta 300/4, and that being a zoom, was more versatile. Quantaray 28-300mm F3.8-6.3 Autofocus on Sony A100/D5 This is the second lense of this type I have bought. Very fast in autofocusing on a Sony A100, extremely fast on the Minolta D5. Some of these have had problems focusing with Minolta and Sony Digital cameras. Contact the factory as they will correct this problem if you send it back. Excellent depth of field at distance but becarefull if you use in close, will defocus background and in some cases that is OK but if you want it to not do that the play around with the F stop and exposure and it will work out OK. Good lense for wildlife, as overall focus is quick on either camera. With the antishake I have been able to pull of offhand shots with good resolution. but that is me, maybe you will be better or worse, try it.
