Samyang 21mm f/1.4 ED AS UMC CS

Fanstastic Manual Lens. This has become my favorite lens of 2016. I had bought it primarily for night shooting, it is an amazing astrophotography lens. But the 24mm is a great angle for close up portraits, landscapes, night skies and the 1.4 f/stop allows for some very exciting play in your composition and style. This lens will allow you to expand your shooting, experiment with fantastic results, and become an essential part of your kit. +++ lens for Night shooting-Time lapse- Long exposure- star trails- landscape- close up 10 ft. portraits +++ Long exposure, Night Shots - heavy, manual only, 24mm is sometimes too wide for every day shooting. +cannot find any mechanical or technical faults with this lens, it is A+++ in quality.

Excellent 35mm I used this lens with my Canon 60D for a wedding in the church (indoor and outdoor at the evening). This is perfect for portraiture. And this has a confirmation chip. But you need to take good care of focus with Live View mode as Magiclantern focus peaks is not 100% reliable. I lost some shots with focus peak. So I had to magnify the Live view to focus exactly. But again, this is quite good lens for portrait photography and videography.

Makes you think through every shot… but rewards It’s a beast of a lens and learning to get it in focus is a task. As the aperture is manual, you have to think through everything before the shot, but it’s fun and something that every beginner should use to learn how to use a camera.
