Best kept secret! I need a zoom lens in this range for event coverage and family portraits. I had been using my Canon 24 to 105. A great lens but a little to slow and wanted to get a f2.8. Canon came out with a new 24 to 70 but it is not available yet and cost $2399.00. So I thought I would try out the Sigma lens. Let me tell you...WOW! What a great lens for such a low price. Optically the lens is even better than my Canon 24 to 105. It is made very well. I would say that if you are going to be shooting out in the rain the Canon lens may be sealed better. But since that is not a problem for me the construction of this lens is very, very good. It has a nice feel. The zoom ring is smooth and has just the correct amount of tension. I also like the balance of the lens...it feels good in my hand and works smoothly. Even if you are not on a budget I think this lens is an excellent value and give you top notch pro results.

Quality at Super value did a lot of reading reviews before I bought and it paid off, this lens is great! I will again buy this brand ; especially if I cant afford Canon.
